Guided sensory stress reduction (maybe with a hot cup of tea/coffee):
– Too often, we forget to focus on our environment. Using our senses to do this can help us stay present in the moment and this reduces stress at the same time.
– Focusing on what you hear, touch, see, smell and taste are quick ways to relax and stay grounded in the present. The great news is, you can do this anywhere, anytime … focus on tasting your meal or coffee, feeling the warmth of the sunshine or a hot cup of tea, listening to favorite songs or calming sounds, smelling a flower, candle or lotion, hugging yourself even.
